The conditions found at the time of the inspection were not typical of the normal conditions maintained at the establishment and arose because loss of hot water was due to boiler being serviced, back up plan now in place. Immersion heater to be put on a couple of hours before any servicing of boiler to make sure hot water is available. In event of electrical failure, NO HOT WATER sign to be placed on kitchen door, no cooking or peeling of vegetables to be done whilst no hot water and kitchen staff to wash their hands with hot water and soap either using hot water from the aga or another part of the building. We are also currently in the process of installing an extractor fan in the kitchen to resolve the problem of condensation build up. New thermometers for the fridges have arrived to ensure fridge temperatures do not exceed 8C. Electrician due to come this week to service both fridges to ensure they maintain the optimal temperature.
