The conditions present at the time of inspection were not representative of the standards normally maintained at our establishment. Unfortunately, our rating resulted from a boiler failure that occurred around the time of the inspection, which led to a lack of hot water. This affected our ability to comply with cleaning requirements.
The issue has now been fully resolved and new boiler has been installed. We have already reapplied for a follow-up inspection so we can demonstrate the high standards we have consistently upheld for many years. We take maintenance very seriously, particularly given the unique challenges of operating within a 400-year-old listed building.
